History

Citadel Timber was founded in 2020 to deliver the highest quality home grown timber to customers nationwide, while also renovating and rehabilitating a mismanaged forest into long term sustainability.

We fell predominantly Douglas Fir from our own woodland in North Wales, which we mill, grade and deliver, as well as use in our own projects. We are a ‘Stump to doorstep’ service. Timber sales directly fund our forest’s Woodland Management Plan – to replant the felling area into a native broadleaf woodland that will last for hundreds of years or more.

The Citadel is a symbol of strength, safety and integrity and is a key principle of Stoicism. When a fortress is struck, or attacked from the outside, the Citadel absorbs the energy, and adds to its original strength. The more attacks – the stronger the fortress.

Why ‘Citadel’ Timber?

This is a project that only exists as a result of the challenges it has faced. When an obstacles have been encountered, they has been overcome with determination, adaptability and patience.
